This Patriotic Jeep JL is owned by a proud Marine veteran, and we were thrilled to help him with his build. David had already started on the build with some killer graphics and accessories. As is with most Jeep builds bigger tires and new wheels were in order. Rolling big is the goal and these 35-inch Kenda Mud Terrains do not disappoint with their killer looks. Black Rhino Barstow wheels were chosen in a 17 by 9 1/2 inch. They come with a negative 18 offset which helps push the tire out for a wider stance and come in a durable textured black powder coat for a long-life expectancy.
We always try to use American made products, so a Rusty’s Off-Road 3-inch lift kit was chosen for its quality, great ride, and price. This kit features adjustable track bars front and back along with lower adjustable control arms. Forged flex ends on the axle are adjustable to fine-tune caster, pinion angle, and wheelbase.
Fox Racing performance series shocks provide a comfortable ride with their race-developed high-flow pistons and Jeep specific valving. Internal floating piston (IFP) separates the nitrogen charge from the high-performance suspension fluid, eliminating any chance of mixing that causes a shock to become mushy during on and off-road conditions.
