Position Overview:
As a Sales Associate, you will be the first point of contact for both in-store and online customers. You will be responsible for driving sales, providing excellent customer service, scheduling installations and repairs, managing quotes, and ensuring smooth operations from order to delivery. The role also involves engaging in phone sales, cold calls, following up on leads, and capturing sales opportunities through multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Customer Service:
    • Engage with customers both in-store and via phone, email, and online chat to sell products, services, and accessories.
    • Provide expert guidance to customers on off-road products, repair options, and custom builds.
  • Order & Shipping Management:
    • Process orders for parts and accessories (both for online and in-store customers).
    • Coordinate shipping of orders, ensuring timely delivery and tracking updates.
    • Order parts for scheduled builds, repairs, and custom installs, ensuring proper stock levels and timely arrival.
  • Scheduling & Coordination:
    • Schedule and confirm customer appointments for custom builds, repairs, and installations.
    • Coordinate with the service and fabrication team to ensure jobs are completed on time and to customer satisfaction.
    • Track job status and update customers on progress, changes, or delays.
  • Quoting & Sales:
    • Create quotes for customers based on their needs for parts, labor, and installations.
    • Follow up with customers on pending quotes and secure sales.
    • Obtain and track customer information and sales details.
  • Cold Calls & Follow-Up:
    • Proactively call potential customers to introduce our products and services.
    • Follow up with leads, past customers, and those who have shown interest in our services.
    • Update customers on promotions, product launches, and service offerings.

Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years experience in automotive, off-road, or related industries. With experience in retail, wholesale, or counter sales, or a combination of technician level training/experience.
    • Experience with online sales, order processing, and customer service.
    • Social Media experience is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build relationships and solve problems.
    • Excellent phone and email communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
    • Knowledge of off-road products, services, and vehicle customization (or willingness to learn).
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Tech-Savvy:
    • Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and online platforms.
    • Comfortable using various communication tools (phone, email, chat) and software for quoting, invoicing, and order management.
  • Other:
    • Must be highly motivated and goal-oriented.
    • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist in store organization as needed.
    • Attend vendor trade shows as needed
