Rollovers and flops are a very real possibility to anyone that uses their Jeep off road. The factory jeep cage is constructed using stamped steel to simulate a cage look, but is no stronger than any other vehicle you see on the road today. The sport cages do increase the stiffness of the factory cage, but still rely on the factory mounting points.

The Motobilt MB3033 JKU cage kit replaces the factory stamped steel cage with 1-3/4” DOM 0.120” wall tubing. The Motobilt cage adds A-pillars where the only support in the front was the windshield. Another set of support is added behind the rear seats that include a C-Pillar and X-bar bracing. 

The Motobilt JKU cage is precision cut on a fiber laser then CNC bent to provide a consistent and tight fit to your jeep. All the tubes are 1-3/4” DOM 0.120 wall tubes and come pre-notched and labeled to allow you to fit the cage together. All the cage mounting points are 3/16” steel and are bent and formed to the factory tub and we have doubled the cage mounting points for four to eight allowing the load to be spread out even more in the event of a rollover. All of the hardware necessary to install the cage is grade 8 and is included with the kit.

The Motobilt JKU is a replacement of the factory cage. The Motobilt cage requires the removal of the factory cage and the new cage welded in. Every cage comes with a set of assembly instructions that will guide you how to cut out the factory cage and assemble the new Motobilt cage. We recommend assembling the cage inside the jeep then it can be removed after assembly to be powder coated or painted.

The Motobilt JKU cage was designed for the user to be able to retain all the factory seats and seat belts, while also allowing for the factory hard top to be used. Factory and aftermarket soft tops can still be used with some modification. This cage is also designed to be used with the factory doors or any aftermarket half doors.

An optional B-pillar harness bar can be added to the cage to add mounting points for a seat belt harness for the front seats. Behind the rear seat passengers, you can add the optional C-pillar harness and X-bar which will add a seat belt harness mounting location for the rear passengers while also significantly increasing the stiffness of the Motobilt JKU cage. The mentioned optional tubes are included with this kit.  They are considered optional as the installer could opt to leave them out if needed.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

The cage kit does NOT prevent injury or death when off-roading.  There are many factors leading to safety.  Even the most highly engineered and built race cage or chassis cannot prevent serious injury from occurring.  This part is for use Off-Road Only. Just because you install a cage does not mean you are 100% protected.  This cage kit should be installed by a qualified welder / fabricator.

Returns Policy

Please read the policy below to familiarize yourself with how we operate.

Please verify the part number that you are ordering before you place your order. If a part is ordered incorrectly by the customer and then returned, the customer will be responsible for all shipping charges and will be subject to a 20% restocking fee. We cannot be held responsible for manufacturer misinformation. If we messed up the order, then of course, we will take care of it. An RGA number must be requested within 7 days of receipt of the product by the customer. Returns must be received within 30 days of the initial purchase. After 30 days we do not accept returns. If an RGA is requested after 7 days of receiving the product then only an in-store credit will be issued. We do not refund shipping costs.

  • All returns require an RGA (Return Goods Authorization) number. Please email: cs@thejeephut.com, to obtain this number. Please allow 24-48 hours for a response during busy times.
  • The RGA number must be marked on a label outside of the returned box. Do not write on the retail packaging or it will void the return.
  • All returned goods must be sent freight prepaid by the customer.
  • A 20% restocking fee will be applied to all returned goods.
  • All returned merchandise will be inspected before credit is applied to the account.
  • All items that receive credit will need to be in NEW, UNUSED, and resellable condition including original packaging with all components. The product cannot be altered, damaged or missing pieces.
  • If you refuse deliveries from shipping carriers, this will result in penalty charges. The shipping return cost(s) will be deducted from your refund amount.
  • If the item is a warranty issue, please contact the manufacturer for warranty.
  • Warranty issues will not be refunded after 30 days. Warranties are handled through manufacturers.
  • Please understand that damage in shipping is the shippers fault not ours. We simply ship it to you. If you do receive a damaged package, we must follow the procedure indicated by the carrier. Please contact the carrier first prior to contacting JeepHut. If you do not have time to wait, we can process another order for you and refund after the shipping claim has been approved.
  • Any scratch and dent, surplus, overstock, garage sale, used products, and eBay auction merchandise will not be refunded. All merchandise is sold “AS IS” and all sales are final. A description of each item will be posted. The best description possible will be given.
  • No returns on custom or fabrication work including paint, custom design, modification and fabrication of parts
  • No returns are accepted on special orders, factory dropships, and body parts.
  • No returns on electrical or Audio (No Exceptions), Issues must be handled with manufacturer under warranty.
  • Locker and Gear returns must be received with full inspection showing no use, installation or wear. All parts and packaging must be in new unused and undamaged condition.
  • Tires or wheels once mounted are not accepted for returns. Only factory replacement if defective under the manufacturer's warranty with their approval can be provided.

  • We currently Only ship within the continental United States (Alaska and Hawaii are not included). If you would like shipping to other areas of the world please email and we can get you a quote.
  • Orders cannot be shipped to PO boxes. We must have a physical address to ship merchandise to.

  • All orders are shipped by ground delivery unless otherwise specified.
  • JeepHut is not responsible for freight damages. Please inspect merchandise before signing for. All claims must be made with the shipping carrier. We will not refund payment due to freight damages.
  • Shipping charges on scratch and dent, surplus, overstock, used products, ebay store and auction products are different from drop shipping charges. Bumpers and large items require different shipping charges that what are listed below.
